This project included a new 2,500 SF addition to an existing multi-story structure, renovation of the existing 6,000 SF building, and a new 1,500 SF auxiliary building, all of which will serve as the new office location for Wightman & Associates. The project included full site development and included a new parking lot, custom landscaping, picnic areas, and other unique site features.
The new building addition included creative elements throughout both the interior and exterior. The exterior features clad metal panels, composite woodgrain accent walls, wooden pergolas, aluminum sunshades, and a large amount of glazing to help transmit natural light to the interior.
The interior of the addition includes offices, reception area, breakroom, vaulted ceiling vestibule, and operable glass wall enclosed conference room that can be opened to accommodate large meetings. Along with adding new offices, the renovation of the existing building included collaboration spaces, private study rooms, a new staircase with custom handrailing, and a new locker and shower room. Both the existing building and the addition received new full mechanical, electrical, and security systems throughout.
The new auxiliary building helps to support Wightman’s field operations. This building provides enclosed parking, restrooms, a lab testing area, and room to house all the equipment and tools utilized in the field. New walking paths allow for easy access to the employee entrance located in the main building.
The unique design on both the interior and exterior of the new office was constructed with great care, attention to detail, and superior craftsmanship. This successful project is the result of Frederick Construction’s ability to work hand-in-hand with the Owner/Architect and to ensure all of the project requirements are being met and exceeded.
