Construction of a new 5,000 SF office addition for Kalin Construction Company. Due to the complex design and building features, the project combined masonry, steel, cold-formed metal framing, and wood to create the structural shell. Structural wood decking was utilized in areas of the building to allow the structural elements to remain exposed as a finished product. The exterior finishes included custom ground faced masonry, architectural metal panel systems, aluminum and cement board siding, custom canopies, and standing seam metal roofing. Large aluminum storefront and window systems were installed at the perimeter to help bring natural light into the building. The interior was dressed with custom wood feature walls, custom millwork and reception desk with waterfall granite tops, full glass walls at office entrances, exposed spiral duct, multiple types of finished flooring, and custom wood trim. Our company worked closely with the Owner and Architect to provide value engineered solutions to help keep this complex project within budget while ensuring the new addition remained of the highest quality.
